4 years ago last friday I landed in dusty Kathmandu, ready for a year in a little village called Ittabhatta, located on the eastern border of Nepal.
That year was simultaneously the best and worst year of my life. I am still reeling from a mix of death, poverty, civil war, landslides, floods, earthquakes, child labour, together with a lifetime of smiles, friendships, and of course, the ever-stunning Himalayas. It was also in Nepal that I met Phil, so it's a pretty special place for us (though I'll save that story for another day, if you actually want to hear it).
So in memory of that year (and of the super-sized coffee I drank at 4pm this afternoon) I have made a slideshow. Skip it if you want, but I gotta do something with these photos gathering dust!
Ps. Sorry for the bad resolution- it would have taken longer to load them at full size than my coffee buzz could last.

Those are some great photos.
Thanks Mia- they sure bring back some memories!
I'm scared to organize my photos. It all started with,"oh i'll jut put these prints here and pick up an album for them next week." Now i've got crates of them. If I start organizing them I wont stop not even to eat. Not to mention I have school to finish and tourists to photograph over at my job.
They'll propably find me dead all emanciated, clutching photogragphs of Egypt in my hand. Photos of water falls and fauna at my feet. Which my dog will probably eating because I wasn't around to feed her. Yup that's my excuse for not organizing my photos. I'm sticking to that one. I like it.

I hear ya Mia-
Phil is a professional photographer and I am an amateur one, and the number of photos we have around the place is ridiculous. So we decided to save it all for the grandkids to catalogue when we die... it'll give the grieving dears something to do!
I'm saving mine for my children to do!
