While the cat's away....

While the cat's away, the mouse will watch Chick-flicks.

Phil is away on a shoot in Japan for the next three days, and I should really take the opportunity to watch some chick flicks without dialogue/plot criticism from his end of the couch.

But now that it has come down to it, I can't think of any I really want to watch, though I can get almost anything on DVD here for a dollar or two.

So, tell me: what are your greatest all-time chick-flicks?

Eat, Drink, Man Woman

I've always loved Mystic Pizza and She's Having a Baby, too. I'll have to quit there before I totally take over your comments.

(Oh, and I forwarded your last post to my mom who taught English for 3 months in Kunming. She said it brought back interesting memories...)

Hmmm..."Dirty Dancing" and "Love Actually", and for an Aussie flavour "Strictly Ballroom" and "Moulin Rouge"!

You could always go for "Sound of Music". I can send you some audio of Dad singing the songs out of key and with the wrong words to make you feel like you are here!

"The hills are alive with the sound of moos being sick... LA la la la"!

Oh boy.... that sounds like something my Dad would do.
Somethings are universal I guess.

Great ideas everyone! I'll try to hunt some of these down today.

Liz, I was going to send you the sound of music to play on continuous look to see as an experiment how long it would take until dad went certifiably insane. :-)

Mignon, is you're whole family in china??? lol... that's very cool.

Verniciousknids, I almost forgot about strictly ballroom! Now i really want to find murial's wedding!

Firstly, Dad is already certifiably insane (hi Dad, I love you! :)).

Secondly, I already HAVE the sound of music!!!

Why do I need to be certified??????
Why not take my word for it?

No - I've got 3 brothers and only the oldest is in China. The other two have spent years in Brazil and Japan. I'm stuck with Montana. My mom spent 7 months in China and SE Asia, came home for a 6 months then did another 'round the world trip. And, again, here we are in Montana...
