Teach them well...

This morning a three-year-old boy in my Nursery class pulled up my t-shirt, and gazed wide-eyed at my stomach and, in the kind of voice you'd use to ask why someone had just sprouted another head, exclaimed:

"Wow! What's that?"

I wish I could say that I had an awesome tattoo on my stomach, or even a piercing or a wicked scar, but no.

He was referring to my white belly flab.

To add insult to injury, I've actually LOST 9kg this year. To be fair the child's mother is a svelt gorgeous South Korean woman, who wouldn't know what belly flab looked like if it smacked her in the face. However, something tells me that I should perhaps stay on the diet...

Oh, wow. Kids, man. Have no sense of decorum. Reminds me of the time when I was a check-out chick with quite severe acne.

A kid said to his mother very loudly, "Mum, what's wrong with her face?"

Would hate for that kid to clap his eyes on my tummy. Yikes.

Congrats on losing 9 kilos though - that's amazing! What is the diet you're on?

Cheers, Natalie.

Yeah tell me about it!

I've been doing Weight Watcher's points system- I lost most of the weight in the first two months (literally 8 kilos in two months) which was very encouraging, but now I have stalled where I am. I really need to get to the gym to get the last 6 kilos off. So close, and yet so far....
